Near the darshan of the temple, there is the appearance site of Shri Radha Raman Ji and the Samadhi temple of Gopal Bhat Swamiji. Once Shri Gopal Bhat Swamiji was bathing in the “Gandaki river” during his journey, at the same time while offering Argha to the Sun, when he took water in Anjuli, a wonderful Shaligram Shila came to Gopal Bhat Swamiji’s Anjuli. When water was filled in Anjuli to offer Argha again, another Shaligram came. In this way, a total of 12 Shaligram stones were received by them, with which Shri Goswami Ji reached Vrindavan Dham and started worshiping the rocks with devotion by making a bhajan hut near Kesi Ghat on the banks of Yamuna.
Once a Seth Ji came to Vrindavan. She was distributing clothes and ornaments to all the idols of Vrindavan. In this sequence, he reached Shri Gopal Bhat Swamiji. He also gave them ornaments but Gopal Bhat Swamiji said that my Gopal is a very small Shaligram. How do I make them wear jewelry and clothes? He became very sad after saying this.
Then at night, Shri Gopal Bhatt Swami Ji started thinking that if my idol had a hand position like other Deities, then I would have decorated them in many ways and made them wear different types of clothes and used to swing on these swings. Shri Goswami ji could not sleep the whole night while doing this. When his eyes opened in the morning, his surprise knew no bounds. He saw that out of those 12 Shaligrams, the main one had been transformed into an idol. This incident is about 1599 Vikram Samvat Vaishakh Shukla Purnima.
Shri Radha Raman had appeared under a peepal near Goswami’s hut. This is the place where Krishna performed Raslila to Shri Radha Rani during Raas about 4500 years ago who reappeared in the form of this Deity on the call of Gopal Vat Swami. When Krishna disappeared from the same place, Shri Radha called him Raman, he was Radha’s Raman. Similarly, Goswami Ji named him Radha Raman.
Radha Raman Lal’s back looks like a Shaligram, that is, when viewed from behind, one can see the Shaligram.
An interesting thing about Radharaman Ji is that he does not hold a flute-like other deities of Krishna. The reason for this was told by Goswami that the Deity is very small and light and does not rest on any surface. If they keep the flute in their soft hands or take the flute out of the middle of their hands, then their soft hands may get scratched and it may fall, that is why the Bansi is placed near the Deity so that it is always with them.
Friends, there is a kitchen in Radha Raman Temple where something happens which does not happen in the kitchen of any temple in the whole world. Friends, you will be surprised to know that the fire has been burning continuously for almost 500 years in the kitchen of this temple. This fire was not lit by any match but by Gopal Bhatt Swami Ji himself with the power of his mantras. Hundreds of years have passed but this fire is not extinguished to date, on this fire the offerings of the entire temple are made.
